Season Wrap & Champ Pictures

Coaches, players and parents, thanks to all of you for your time and effort this season to reestablish lacrosse in Northern Vermont. Despite so many issues and unknowns, we were able to complete the entire season with only a few missed games.

And the Championship Games for the 7/8 teams demonstrated the effort and perseverance of the players. Despite soaring temps on the turf, the players battled so hard and put on a great demonstration of lacrosse. Both boys games were settled in either the last minute or overtime. And the Girls D1 game came down to the last possession. After four VERY intense games, the players also showed their sportsmanship with heartfelt Honor the Game ceremonies.

One memory I’ll take away was a Barre girl, after their heartbreaking one-goal loss, yelling at the entire Middlebury team that she had so much fun playing them and thanking them for a great game. That’s what it’s all about.

Here are the 2021 7/8 Champions.

Girls D1 – Middlebury

Girls D2 – Plattsburgh

Boys D1 – South Burlington

Boys D2 – Harwood 2

Code Of Conduct

The NVTYLL has adopted the policy and philosophy of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) with respect to “Honoring the Game” for all NVTYLL participants including players, coaches, officials, and spectators as follows:

PCA believes the time has come to unite behind a powerful new term, “Honoring the Game.” Coaches, parents, and athletes need to realize that an Honoring the Game perspective needs to replace the common win-at-all-cost perspective.
