Is your coach US Lacrosse certified?

March 1, 2018 by nvtyll_webmaster Leave a Comment

NVTYLL Head coaches at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th level of play are required to be US Lacrosse Level One certified.

US Lacrosse Level 1 clinic will be held on 3/31 at 9am at the BOR Arena in Barre VT.  You can register here

http://usl8.ebiz.uapps.net/PersonifyEbusiness/Default.aspx?TabID=487&_ga=2.240736003.1017346553.1519653056-1325069300.1495463796

The Level 1 curriculum is designed to introduce coaches to the responsibilities and philosophies of coaching and how to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth and sportsmanship. You’ll acquire the tools to teach rules, basic individual skills and basic team concepts to beginning players of all ages.

Teams without certified head coaches will pay a fine.

Code Of Conduct

The NVTYLL has adopted the policy and philosophy of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) with respect to “Honoring the Game” for all NVTYLL participants including players, coaches, officials, and spectators as follows:

PCA believes the time has come to unite behind a powerful new term, “Honoring the Game.” Coaches, parents, and athletes need to realize that an Honoring the Game perspective needs to replace the common win-at-all-cost perspective.
