Become a certified coach

USA Lacrosse recently revamped its certification program. Please see here for an FAQ highlighting the changes.

Per the rules of the NVTYLL, ALL coaches are required the following:

  1. USA Lacrosse Member
  2. Certified Bronze by USA Lacrosse - part of USA Lacrosse Membership

See USA Lacrosse Certification for complete information on how to acquire Bronze certification.

Bronze Certification requires the completion of these basic elements:

  1. Current USA Lacrosse membership
  2. Background check (Membership Requirement)
  3. Abuse Prevention
  4. Cardiac Care
  5. Concussion
  6. Cultural Competency
  7. Annual Rules Test

If a coach has any of the following credentials from another sport, they can submit them in lieu of taking the USA Lacrosse course it matches with.

  • CPR Certification
  • NFHS Concussion Training
  • SafeSport Certification

Caoches can send the documentation to CDP@usalacrosse.com and they must include their membership number in the subject line.

To maintain their certification, a coach simply needs to renew their USA Lacrosse Membership and meet all the requirements for renewal.

USA Lacrosse also offers Mobile Coach, with over 500 men's and women's Lacrosse drills, pre-built athlete development aligned practice plans, practice planning functionality, whiteboarding (iPad users only), and a host of other great resources.
