Looking to improve your shooting game? Need to get some power behind your shot or work on that off hand? Checkout this post season camp designed to help you master the art of shooting. DYG Shooting Academy Immersion Camp taking place August 16-17 in Norwich Vermont! Attendees will be immersed in the art of shooting as it’s performed at the highest levels. After spending many years teaching shooters to become finishers, we’re extremely excited to be making this trip and teaching our campers the skill-sets required to becoming a great FINISHER!

Game Weekend | May 6th 2017

The sun is shinning, the weather is warm, and the fields are dry (maybe?). It is definitely staring to feel like spring out there and we are all excited to play lacrosse. Games for this weekend have been assigned to teams which DID NOT have spring break this week. The GAMES page has been updated accordingly so please view the tabs at the bottom of the page to move between divisions and age levels. The full game schedule will be released this weekend so that everyone can plan accordingly for games next weekend. See you on the field soon!

2017 Team Registration

Please remember to complete your 2017 Team Registration! We have a currently have very few teams registered through the website’s team registration page. Be sure to follow all of the steps on this page to get your teams registered for this season. Use of this webpage streamlines the process for the board to confirm divisions and game schedules for the upcoming season. If you have any trouble or questions about registration please feel free to contact us by leaving a comment on this post or by emailing us.

We are looking forward to kicking off the 2017 season this weekend and will release the game schedule shortly.

UVM Youth Lacrosse Day!`

University of Vermont is having a Youth Lacrosse Day this Saturday!
Free admission for youth players (in grades 8 and lower) who bring their stick to the games.
UVM is partnering with the Vermont Chapter of US Lacrosse for “Rally Against Cancer” – Wear pink to show your support!

12:00 p.m. – Men’s game versus Hartford

3:00 p.m. – Women’s game versus Univ of New Hampshire

All  youth players can ‘Catch with the Cats’ after the women’s game.

UVM is also celebrating 40 years of lacrosse! So get ready to come out and support the Catamounts!

What Equipment do I need to play lacrosse?

This is a great question! In order to participate in NVTYLL league games you must have the following equipment.

  • Lacrosse Stick
  • Lacrosse Helmet – Hockey helmets are NOT acceptable.
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Elbow Pads
  • Gloves
  • Mouth piece – These are donated to NVTYLL through Timberlane Dental and provided to all coaches.
  • Athletic Cup / Supporter
  • Rib Pads – Optional

Goalies must have the proper chest protection and throat protector. Players who are not properly equipped for NVTYLL league games will not be allowed to participate in play. It is the responsibility of coaches, players and parents to ensure that players are properly equipped for play.

In need of lacrosse equipment? Stop by Dick’s Sporting Goods this weekend to get 20% off all in store purchases. NVTYLL board members will be at Dick’s Sporting Goods over the course of the weekend to assist players and families with purchasing the proper equipment.
